iFly Atlanta Review: Not Worth the Money or the Time

iFly Atlanta Review: Not Worth the Money or the Time

Date of Visit: August 16, 2025
Cost: $390 for 5 people
Location: iFly Atlanta (next to Truist Park)

What We Expected

When booking with iFly, we were excited about the idea of experiencing the thrill of indoor skydiving. Their marketing makes it sound like a fun, high-energy adventure that’s worth the price. Unfortunately, our experience didn’t come close to living up to that promise.

The Booking & Traffic Issue

Our original appointment was on August 9th at 4:00 PM. Despite arriving within their published 10-minute grace period, after being stuck in total gridlock from the Braves game next door, we were told they couldn’t fit us in. We called multiple times from right outside their building, but staff refused to honor the grace period. Instead, they forced us to reschedule to August 16th at 1:00 PM.

This reschedule was already inconvenient, as our group had been assembled for a birthday outing and not everyone could return.

The Experience

On August 16th, five of us went through with the session. For $390 total, we received:

  • Two minutes per person in the vertical wind tunnel.
  • 90-minute time commitment overall, including waiting, prep, and watching others.

When you break it down, you’re paying nearly $200 per minute of actual flight time — and honestly, the “flight” felt like standing in an oversized vacuum tube while an instructor held you steady. It was more gimmicky than thrilling.

The Value Problem

At this price point, the experience falls completely flat. Not only was it overpriced for what you get, but the handling of our initial delay left a bad impression. iFly seemed unwilling to consider reasonable circumstances (like stadium traffic beyond a customer’s control), and the customer service felt rigid and unsympathetic.

Final Verdict

I cannot recommend iFly Atlanta. Between the poor handling of scheduling, the inflated cost, and the underwhelming experience, it simply wasn’t worth the time or the money. If you’re looking for an adrenaline rush or a unique group activity in Atlanta, I’d strongly suggest exploring other options before spending nearly $400 here.
